Game 012 — browser mini-game

Description

You are the prefect on a school playground. About 20 students are on the field, each shown as an animal-style icon. Most stay near the edge; each round, a random group runs around the yard.

To stop a runner, move the prefect until you are touching them, then press Space. They then stop running. If you are not close enough, Space does nothing.

The round ends in success when every runner for that round has been stopped. You then get a short celebration and the next round begins.

Round 1 has 3 runners. Each later round adds one more runner, up to a maximum of 20. A full game has 10 rounds; clear round 10 to win.

Each round has a 60-second timer. If time runs out before all runners are caught, you lose HP and retry the same round. If HP reaches zero, the game ends.

Before you start, pick a mascot icon for your prefect on the title screen. The hint strip under the HP bar shows whether you are still hunting runners; when you touch a runner, “Press Space” appears beside that strip as a reminder.

Controls

• W A S D or arrow keys — move the prefect.
• Space — when touching a running student, stop them.
• P — pause or resume.

On the canvas, Runners left shows how many students are still running in the current round.
